The Power of One

Consider this …

~One song can inspire millions

~One flower can brighten one’s day
~One smile can give hope
~One kind word can change one’s outlook
~One dollar can give some form of nourishment
~One candle spreads light on a pathway
~One assuring hand of friendship gives hope
~One kindness gives esteem

What one thing can you do today?

A Boss or a Leader

Let’s take another look at the differences between a boss and a leader.

H. Gordon Selfridge built one of the world’s largest department stores in London.  He was in essence a real leader, not a boss.

In his own words, here are the differences between the two.

~The boss drives his men.
~The leader coaches them.

~The boss depends on authority.
~The Leader on good will.

~The boss inspires fear.
~The leader inspires enthusiasm.

~The boss says “I”.
                                     ~The leader says “we”.

~The boss fixes the blame for the breakdown.
~The leader fixes the breakdown.

~The boss says “Go”.
~The leader says “Let’s go!”

That is enough for one day.

The Miracle

We look for miracles every day.  We want the unusual, the unexpected, the ‘miracle’ to happen.  And we are in control of the miracle machine all along.

The miracle often happens in starting something.  STARTING!

I love this idea:

Are you ready to start your miracle?
