Run from It-Learn from It

Everyone has a past.  Regardless of what it is, no matter how large it looms, we make a conscious decision to deal with it.  And it is in the ‘dealing with it’ that we are addressing today.

How?

This simple quote from The Lion King says it well.

Lessons learned about our failures are important lessons.  Let us not miss the opportunities to learn from our past.

Life's Rules #3

(Brian Tracy gives us the seed for this post.  It is a 3-part series.)

Life’s Rule #3
“If you do not step forward
you will always be
in the same place.”
~Brian Tracy

Marching bands march.  They step forward and away from the goal line and move on down the field.  Otherwise, marching bands would be boring.

Toward what are you stepping forward?  Dreams are a good thing to have.  And … we will never have them unless we step toward them.  I can’t remember any of my dreams stepping toward me.

We step toward …
Spouses & future spouses
Careers
Vacations
Salary increases
Dream homes
Great kids and grand-kids

We have to take action.

Simple … Really!

Life's Rule No. 2

(Brian Tracy gives us the seed for this post.  It will be a 3-part series.)

Life’s Rule #2
If you do not ask,
the answer will always be ‘NO’.

It’s called communication.
It is also called – determining your worthiness of having a thing.

We don’t ask because we fear the answer will always be ‘no’.

What if that answer is ‘yes’ and the world is just waiting for us to ask?

What if indeed.

Life's Rules #1

Brian Tracy gives us the seed for this post.  It will be a 3-part series.

Life’s Rule #1:
If you don’t go after what you want
you’ll never have it.

Name any worthy aim in life and you will discover that someone, at one point in their life, made the decision to go for the brass ring.

That is a simple principle.  Good fortune does not seek us.  We seek it.

We put one foot in front of the other.
We determine what we want and when to start on the pursuit of that dream.

I had to start writing blogs when I had no readers.  In time I've accumulated a nice following.  Thank you my reader friends.

So … Go get whatever it is you want.

The world wants to hear from you.
