Time to Be a Count at Christmas

Time to Be a Count at Christmas

What a great line from the song Counting My Blessings.

And what a wonderful admonition for all of us.  I’ve been doing a bit of “counting” this year.  There is much for which I am thankful, and so I pause and give thanks often.

Giving thanks at Christmas is as much a part of the season as is the giving of gifts.

Merry Christmas.

A Week Before Thanksgiving

A Week Before Thanksgiving

A week before Thanksgiving, and I’m giving thanks.
I’m not making a big to-do about it, just reflecting a bit, whispering thank-you.

For life
For friendships
For health that is being restored

For love of CB like none other
For grands
For step-kids

For siblings
For work that is meaningful
For music that swells my soul

For eyes to see
For ears to hear
For God who watches over us.

Yes, I’m giving thanks a week early.  Heck, I actually do this all the time, and especially this week.

Be safe as you travel.
Eat wisely.
Say the words others long to hear – you know – “You’re not fat.”

That is all.
