What We Believe

What We Believe

From where did you get your beliefs?  Did some coach, parent, teacher, politician hand them to you?

And have you held to those beliefs all these years later, never examining them, never questioning them?

Authority figures love to tell you what to believe, how to believe, even down to the words and phrases with which to express those beliefs.  And how do you feel about that?

Perhaps, it is time for all of us to come to grips with our own set of beliefs and life principles.  Yes, books are helpful, as are parents and coaches.

But thinking a thing through with completeness is better.

Is it true?
Is it reasonable?
Is it real or an illusion?
Is it fear-based?

Use these as guidelines as you THINK.

Books

Books

What has a good book done for you lately?  Have you allowed yourself to be
swept away on an adventure, or are you discovering new information, growth information?

I’ve gone back and re-read three Og Mandino books in the last week.  What an inspiring trip that was.

The stats show that 72% of adults read at least one book per month, on average, according to Pew Research, in 2015.

So, if you are one of the 28% of non-readers, I wonder what you are missing?
