ARE YOU CONVINCED YOU CAN DO IT?

Are You Convinced You Can Do It?

Harvey Mackay, author of Swim with the Sharks once said this.

The hardest sale

you’ll ever make

is to yourself.

Once you’re convinced

you can do it,
you can.

What have you done once you convinced yourself you could?

Businesses have been launched.
Political offices have been earned.
Large bank accounts have grown even larger.
The big LEAP has happened because someone screwed their courage to the sticking place and made the leap.

It starts with conviction that the THING can be done by YOU!

Well then ... GO DO IT!

Get Naked

 Get Naked

Have you ever been naked in public? For most of us it’s no fun.

I’ve had a few dreams of running naked or in my underwear. So glad when I awakened.

Here’s the good side of getting naked, thanks to Seth Godin and his book

What to Do when it’s Your Turn

Get naked.
We become naked when we say ...
~I made this.
~It’s my fault.
~It was my idea.
~I decided to do it.
~No place to hide is the only place to be.

If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing naked, alone, boldly.

I Know Fear and I Know Peace

I Know Fear and I Know Peace

I know fear when being shaved in preparation for heart surgery.
I know fear when having an angiogram to look at my heart blockage.
I’ve known other fears.

And in the middle of those fears, I know and have known peace from the God of my understanding.

And HIS peace trumps all fears.

A Good Word about Vision

A Good Word about Vision

When I first started writing, I fretted that some day I may run out of ideas.  And then what?

The truth is, with each post, I go back to my “well” of ideas and sooner than soon another one pops up and off my fingers go, writing away.

Thomas Carlyle gave me the idea for this post.

What you can see today is small compared to what you’ll see in a month, year, ten years.  The idea is to keep moving, keep climbing, keep working at your craft.

ONE Can Win the Battle

ONE Can Win the Battle

One hug can reassure.
One smile can calm and encourage.
One act of kindness can restore faith in mankind.
One word can set in motion change.
One person can make a difference.

Do you have ONE inside of you today?

When Life Hits Hard

When Life Hits Hard

Life hit us hard on Feb. 6, 2019.  Carolyn experienced a slip-n-fall at our condo, spent a week in the hospital, and now, walks only with crutches or a wheel chair pushed by me.  And six weeks later, her doctor says maybe she’ll be walking again in six more weeks.

That’s a hard punch.

And what is our response?

We take it one day at a time.  We get through today, and see what tomorrow brings.

Very thankful for meds that give pain relief and knowledgeable and skillfully trained medical professionals who know how to help.

It’s a daily thing, and we’re hanging on.

Life hit us hard.  We’re coping by accepting what has happened, doing what we can to relieve the pain and suffering, and relying on each other for nurturing, strength and encouragement.

And God is with us.
