When
Life Hits Hard
Life
hit us hard on Feb. 6, 2019. Carolyn
experienced a slip-n-fall at our condo, spent a week in the hospital, and now,
walks only with crutches or a wheel chair pushed by me. And six weeks later, her doctor says maybe
she’ll be walking again in six more weeks.
That’s
a hard punch.
And
what is our response?
We
take it one day at a time. We get
through today, and see what tomorrow brings.
Very
thankful for meds that give pain relief and knowledgeable and skillfully
trained medical professionals who know how to help.
It’s
a daily thing, and we’re hanging on.
Life
hit us hard. We’re coping by accepting
what has happened, doing what we can to relieve the pain and suffering, and
relying on each other for nurturing, strength and encouragement.
And
God is with us.
