Sometimes We Tell Them

Sometimes We Tell Them

Sometimes, we tell people how much they have influenced our lives.  Sometimes, we tell them “thank you” and “you made a difference.”

Oh my, the power of the right word spoken at the right time.  It is so needed today, by everybody.

Today is your day to bring cheer to someone who has done some significant work for which you are thankful.  And it often is a small act that had a large impact.

Contributing a Verse

Contributing a Verse

Mr. Whitman jumpstarts our thinking today.  I love this.

I read of a twenty-three-year-old woman who taught a 73-year-old woman how to use the internet. The older woman in turn, taught the younger how to make a great roast, and to knit.

I think that is a part of what this idea is all about.  We all can’t be rocket scientist.  But we each can do something to do our part.

~I write to encourage.
~My wife plays amazing piano.
~My friend Jay is a superb banker.
~My other friend Tyler is an expert real estate guru.

They each contribute out of what they can offer.

What is your verse?

It is not dependent on age, race, color, language of dominance, shoes or no shoes.  It is a matter of the spirit of giving.

She Gets Me

She Gets Me

I just took CB her morning cup of coffee.  As I leaned in to kiss her, I said, “I’m writing.”

Her response: “Go write.”

It’s early on a Saturday morning.  I’ve been at this for a while today.  She’s quietly enjoying her morning, listening to a podcast or some such program.

And she gets me.  She knows what is important in my life.  Lest you think I’m a selfish snob, I cater to her as well and I tune into her interests, her needs and wants.  She often brings me my coffee while here at my desk, doing my writing thing.

There is nothing finer in this world than being in a relationship with a person who gets you.

I hope you find that.
