Be the Reason

Be the Reason

We have the amazing opportunity to either build up or tear down one’s hopes and dreams.  I’m choosing to be the reason someone holds onto hope.

People need to feel seen.  Let’s give them that opportunity.  We don’t ignore.  We don’t step over.  We don’t bypass.

We listen.

We can be the solution every day to someone who crosses our path.

We just have to choose to be!

A Week Before Thanksgiving

A Week Before Thanksgiving

A week before Thanksgiving, and I’m giving thanks.
I’m not making a big to-do about it, just reflecting a bit, whispering thank-you.

For life
For friendships
For health that is being restored

For love of CB like none other
For grands
For step-kids

For siblings
For work that is meaningful
For music that swells my soul

For eyes to see
For ears to hear
For God who watches over us.

Yes, I’m giving thanks a week early.  Heck, I actually do this all the time, and especially this week.

Be safe as you travel.
Eat wisely.
Say the words others long to hear – you know – “You’re not fat.”

That is all.

A Brief Brief about Courage

A Brief Brief about Courage

What is courage?

Nerve
  Pluck
    Valor
      Daring
        Audacity
          Resolution

I imagine we all muster up courage in one form or another every day.  For some, getting out of bed is a courageous act.

For creative types, they show courage every day just by showing up to their computer, easel, recording studio, or whatever and wherever they create.

It takes courage to push “Publish” on a blog, or sign your name to a painting.

It takes courage to show up and say, “I love you,” or to show appreciation for small acts, kind words,

I say … Today is your day to be courageous in whatever ways you choose to express your own brand of courage.
