If You Think ...

If You Think …

Thoughts are things.  Fact.

What do you ‘think’ about your life at the present moment?  Are you accepted, do you like ‘self’, do you approve of ‘self’, do you trust your skills, do you give others control of your destiny or do you drive your destiny?

If you think you are capable, are you?

If you think you can climb that mountain, or build that start-up, can you?

If you think you can start that blog or that book, can you?

What do you think?

I Choose the Color

I Choose the Color

Hardships come.  Setbacks happen.  Failures are a part of life.

Ah …

But it is how we view all of these off-putting experiences, isn’t it?

This conversation was overheard once between one who suffered greatly from life’s setbacks and his friend.

“Suffering colors all of life, doesn’t it?”

“Yes,” said the gallant one.  “It does, but I choose the color.”

Oh my.  What an attitude!

I think that is all I should say for today.

A Tuba Is Just a Tuba ... Unless

A Tuba Is Just a Tuba Unless …

A tuba is nice, but I don’t want to go to a
concert just to hear a bunch of tuba solos.  I’d rather eat spinach, and I hate spinach.

Ah … but add in a few trombones, a bit of timpani, a couple of trumpets and some clarinets and now we have something.  Melody, harmony, rhythm … we have music.

You may, at times, feel like a tuba – all alone, nobody wants you, nobody needs you, nobody likes your sound, your voice, your ideas, your style or your looks.  Maybe you're large and gangly, like a tuba.

Now, when we add color and variety, all of a sudden, the tuba becomes likeable, enjoyable and definitely contributive.

What or with whom can you partner to be more than a tuba?

There is great value in sharing the journey.
