Three Important Principles

Principle #1:

If you do not go after what you want, you will never have it. 

Check!

Principle #2:

If you do not ask, the answer will always be NO. 

I wonder if the adage “You have not because you ask not” is applicable here?

Check!

Principle #3:

If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.

This is why I like to sit up front.  Take notes.  Ask questions.  It’s the beginning of ‘fend for yourself’.

When Disappointment Shows Up

Read the title again, please. 

And now, the question.

Is failure the final word or is it just a stumble and fall?

Failures are not a life sentence.  Setbacks aren’t the final word, unless you want them to be.

Hold to that possibility.

There is life after defeat.

I know this personally and professionally.

Spectator to Your Own Thoughts

Spectator to Your Own Thoughts

Thoughts are things.  They can have a life of their own.  And if left unattended, thoughts can grow like wild seeds.  And that is not all good.  I’m reminded of James Allen’s classic book – As a Man Thinketh. 

I’m trying to learn to watch my thoughts a bit more closely in these days. 

I learned a Bible verse as a small child that applies to this thought as well.
