The Third Three Things

There are three things that we should never lose.

     ~Hope
          ~Peace
               ~Honesty

~HOPE
I’ve been writing steadily for a few years now and have noticed that when I write on the subject of hope my readership increases; I get more clicks.  That is a multi-layered fact about our world today, I think.  We seek hope and a future that is good and bright.

This quote has been attributed to several sources including Hal Lindsey and John C. Maxwell:

A man can live ...
 40 days without food
 3 days without water
 8 minutes without air
 1 second without hope

Someone once observed – when you are out of hope, you are out of options.

Hold onto hope!

~PEACE
Where is your quiet place?  When do you find solace and peace?

A quick reminder:

Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles, it takes away today’s peace.
(Author unknown)

I think Albert Einstein is onto something:
“Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.”

There seems to be two ways of looking at this thought – peace for our world, and peace within ourselves.  Isn’t self-understanding the beginning of peace?  “Know thyself” is still pretty good advice.

~HONESTY
Everyone has a sense of ‘honesty’, at least I want to believe that.  The world craves for honesty.  We seek it in our political leaders, in our religion, in our work place and in our everyday dealings.

Wouldn’t it be something if we labeled people according to their character traits?  Remember “Honest Abe”?  Let’s start a movement back to honesty.
