Liberty and Responsibility

In New York Harbor stands a lady – Lady Liberty – the Statue of Liberty.

On the west coast – at a yet unknown
location, will stand the Statue of Responsibility.  How fitting it will be to have these two bookend monuments.

For what is liberty without responsibility?

Victor Frankl first promoted this idea of a Statue of Responsibility in his book Man’s Search for Meaning.  He was a
Holocaust survivor.  And a man I much admire and follow on Facebook is the creator of this Statue of Responsibility – Gary Lee Price.

The picture says it clearly – one hand reaching down to lift another fellow human being.

John Kennedy captured this so very well:

Can we have liberty without responsibility?

The Will to Do

Strength is not the answer.
Knowledge is not the answer.

Well then, what makes a successful person a successful person?

Ok, now were onto a good start.

Consider this …

What if, perhaps, maybe, the difference lies in the will to do or not do?

The WILL!

The driver, the power part of the engine.

That’s all folks!

Begin at the Beginning

It’s revolutionary – what a discovery!  This just came in across the wires.

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

What?  You mean … I’ve got to pay my dues, do the grunt work, get paint drippings in my eyes, develop blisters and my knees may hurt?

Oh yes.

It’s called growth – development – education - experience.

But look what we become along the way.

How amazing is that!
