You
Can’t Copy Forever
Yes,
I admit. I’ve encouraged you to borrow
from others, copy others, mimic others.
And that is good.
However,
there will come a time when you and I have to branch out and find our own
voice, our own style. We have to become
our own individual.
The
world will put up with copies for a while, but sooner or later … we launch. We
stretch our own stuff. We become unique
and individualistic.
Reminds
me of this quote:
“When you die and go to heaven, your maker is not going to ask,
“why didn’t you discover the cure for such and such?” The only question we will be asked in that
precious moment is, ‘Why didn’t you become you?’”
