Throwing Darts
How
does a person ever learn and master any skill?
Well,
you keep throwing darts at the dart board.
You keep trying. You never quit,
if your goal is mastery and accomplishment.
I’m
not an accomplished vibraphonist today because I quit throwing darts. I stopped practicing. I still love the sound
of a good vibe player, but I’m not one.
I
am still throwing darts at the
writing life. I’ve not reached my end
yet, nor have I run out of ideas.

Keep
at it, whatever IT is.
That
is all.
