Pay
Attention to What
You Pay Attention To
What
a novel idea … pay attention to what you pay attention to. That one idea is what helped launch my
writing life, and a few other interests in my life.
Pay
attention. It’s said in a hundred
classrooms on a daily basis, I suppose.
And well it should be said.
It’s
more than just noting a thing. Paying
attention is looking deeper than the surface demands. We peer into a thing, as it were. And this includes our lives.
We
don’t just offer a passing glance at a thing of interest. We stop, analyze, ask the “why” and “what if”
and we dig down a bit or a lot.
There
is so much to grab our attention these days.
This post is a reminder to slow down.
Ponder, look beyond the surface, and bring to our attention more than
just what caught out attention in the first place.
Something to
think on,
in about 60
seconds.
