The Apology We Never Get

 

Life 101:

We live.

We interact.

We develop friendships and relationships.

Things go wrong and we are owed an apology.

What if that apology never comes?  What if that person who is in your debt dies before the words come from their mouth of contrition, regret and asking for forgiveness?

We learn to forgive in the absence of an official apology. 

We make peace in the void of no words to sooth the offense.

Life is way too short to do otherwise.

Unplug

Need a quick remedy for any electronic device that suddenly quits working?  Unplug it.

This works with cell phones when frozen on a screen or an app.

Computers

Toasters

And just about any other gadget in your home.

And it works for you and me.  Sometimes we just need to unplug.  Carolyn and I love the short, three-day get-a-ways.  We often program three or four of those into our lives each year.  We just returned from one such trip to Victoria, BC. 

Unplugging works wonders.

Friends Are Valuable

Friends are Valuable

I witnessed the effects of a good and solid friendship last night.

My wife is confined to a wheel chair and bed for the next few weeks dues to a fall on ice.  Her long-time friend came by for a short visit. 

There was love in the room.  There was esteem and kindness, care and concern.  Each for the other.

I’m convinced LeAnn’s visit was as beneficial as any meds Carolyn took yesterday.

We love our friends.  They are our estate.
